MoMo Beijing #51 Mobile Monday Startup Competition 2012, Shanghai 2012-06-18

The first “Mobile Monday China” event was held in Shanghai yesterday with great success. With the co-organization of Mobile Monday Shanghai and Beijing, and under the banner of GSMA Mobile Asia Expo series event, this special edition of Mobile Monday in China opened the startup competition that will continue to toll out in the MAE Innovation Labs sections. 15 startups in Mobile Internet areas pitched on this event, to compete for 10 speech opportunities MAE Innovation Labs.

This event has attracted about 150 professional people from different sectors of the mobile industry, including Investment & Incubation (Gobi VC, GSR Ventures, Hina Investment, Innovation Works, China Accelerator, etc.), Tech Blogs (iFanr, Technode), Internet / Mobile Internet companies, and other Mobile activists to join.

The 10 winning teams are:

Winner: Starry Media (starrymedia.com)
Starry Media provides an O2O e-commerce platform and transaction service for local merchants. They leverages social media marketing and increases consumer-brand engagement, user loyalty, and also provides consumer research information to business owners.

2nd –equal: NME and Walkin

NME (www.mnecreations.com) provides gamified education apps to young children. They uses cartoon characters in interactive smart phone games to engage children in learning.

Walkin (www.walkin.com.cn) helps fashion brands to attract new costumers to their stores and retain them, through LBS check-in, coupon, etc.

7 other startup also got the speech opportunity at GSMA MAE Innovaiton Labs. They are:

 Training Beam (www.TrainingBeam.com), provides apps and services for online & mobile learning of English;

 Mobile measure (www.mobile-measure.com), provides mobile market research service using different media on users’ mobile phones.

 Wodache (www.wodache.com), is provide of car-pooling service to ease metropolitan commuter pains

 Pixel Fairy Digital (Easy Queue), helps both local merchants and customers to solve the problem of queuing before enter restaurants and stores

 Favspot (www.favspot.net/), is a location based sharing of the best places that one visited with friends on social networks

 Piove (www.ipiove.com), uses Augmented Reality to engage customers to brands and products in an interactive way, and provides discounts and other benefits to their users.

 iQin Mobile (iQinMobile.com) is a small app development team. Their current major game is Kongfu Fox, which is among top 200 in Appstore games sectors in many countries.

 iMouse (www.imouseonline.com), with iFeelYou, the interactive mobile music player
 PPT Control (www.Xapp8.com), controlling PPT playing with smart phones
 Shanghai Easy Life, with their online food delivery platform,
 LaoBingKe (www.laobingke.com/), the service that facilitates event organization and participation.
 iFortZone (www.ifortzone.com), a personal online/mobile financial management tool
